You are still entitled to access all routine tests and ultrasound scans via the NHS or this can be facilitated privately if you chose; your midwife will support you with advice on testing and can attend at these appointments if you wish.

Established in 1996, Ultrasound Now Ltd provides ultrasound services for the NHS and private patients with clinics in Stockport, Manchester and St. Asaph, North Wales.  The company headquarters is also in St Asaph where all patient enquiries are handled.

Originally the idea of our director Julie Burnage, the company has flourished to become a leading provider of diagnostic ultrasound within the primary care arena and a respected provider of private antenatal and general ultrasound examinations.  Julie is a sonographer and is a well known personality within the profession who is regularly asked to speak at British Medical Ultrasound (BMUS) events, is a member of the Welsh council of the British Institute of Radiology (BIR) and a guest lecturer for Bangor University.  Julie has a passion for ultrasound and has been instrumental in the drive to take imaging services out of the hospital environment and into the community giving more patient choice.

The company ethos is all about patient care.  We believe that all patients deserve to be treated with dignity and respect by a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.  We also believe that patients referred to us through the NHS should expect the same level of care as those who choose to pay privately.  We do not believe that the choice of private healthcare treatment should be limited to the wealthy or those with health insurance but should be available to all at an affordable price.
